The Designer Collection

The design briefs lean heavily on The Whiteley’s Edwardian features and William Whiteley’s original vision as a purveyor of fine goods from around the world, so there is a strong storytelling layer around curation, travel and craftsmanship.

Each residence in The Designer Collection has been entrusted to a different international design studio, invited to create a complete and cohesive home rather than a conventional show apartment. From sculptural and moody spaces to more playful or quietly refined spaces, every detail – from bespoke joinery and lighting to artwork and textiles – has been thoughtfully considered so that restored architectural details and bold new interiors sit in perfect balance, expressing the designer’s vision while honouring the story of the building.
